New Stage Musical, “The Magic Box”, Featuring Music From Disney’s Beloved Songbook, Sets Premiere In Abu Dhabi In February 2025

The highly anticipated stage musical, featuring timeless Disney songs, will take the stage at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, from February 6th to February 15th 2025, as part of its World Tour.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – October 2024 – Disney’s The Magic Box, a groundbreaking theatrical experience developed in association with Disney Theatrical Group and presented by Fever, the leading global live-entertainment discovery platform, along with Proactiv Entertainment, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, is set to dazzle audiences at Etihad Arena from February 6th until February 15th 2025 for a limited run. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale Tuesday 29th of October 2024 for those who registered only, with general on-sale tickets on the 30th of October 2024. This innovative musical invites audiences into an immersive Disney adventure, blending puppetry, extravagant costumes, and stunning projections on a grand scale. It’s a sensory-rich show that invites the audience to reconnect with the legacy of Disney music through the stories, songs, and characters that have accompanied them through the different stages of their lives. The show weaves together an original score with Disney's iconic music, bringing characters to life through spectacular choreography and theatrical techniques.

The show includes excerpts from more than 75 songs from Disney films written by some of the most important songwriters and composers of all time, including Alan Menken, Elton John, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tim Rice, Richard and Robert Sherman, Hans Zimmer, and many more. Some of the iconic songs that are part of the musical are “A Whole New World” (ALADDIN), “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (ENCANTO), “How Far I’ll Go” (MOANA), "Circle of Life" (THE LION KING), "Let It Go" (FROZEN) and "This Wish" (WISH).

Disney’s The Magic Box began its World Tour in Buenos Aires and is currently performing in South Africa, before making its way to Abu Dhabi on February 6th 2025.

The musical's international creative team includes Thaddeus McWhinnie Phillips (Co-Bookwriter and Director, as well as Set Designer), Lynne Kurdziel Formato (Choreographer), Isaac Saul (Musical Director, Arranger, and Orchestrator), and Felipe Gamba Paredes (Creative Producer, Co-Bookwriter) who has led the show’s development.
