Copenhagen, 1 August 2023 - In celebration of Warner Bros. Studios’ 100th anniversary, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Fever, the leading entertainment discovery platform, have announced Copenhagen will be among the 100 cities worldwide to host “Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros.”. As part of the company’s global centennial campaign, the commemorative international concert series features music from award-winning films and unforgettable television shows from the Warner Bros. library.
Odd Fellow Palæet in Indre By will host this exclusive celebration that takes place throughout the year to commemorate Warner Bros.’ 100th anniversary. Tickets are now on sale in all 100 cities worldwide, including Stockholm, Florence, Lisbon and Madrid.
The Candlelight concept is known to take classical performances out of their usual concert halls and bring the one-of-a-kind musical experiences to majestic venues, noted for their historic nature or unique character, from iconic cathedrals, theaters and museums, with breathtaking candlelit settings. Odd Fellow Palæet is therefore a perfect fit due to its architectural beauty, historical relevance, role in hosting cultural events, social significance, and preservation efforts. The mansion that has passed through many owners, has seen many tales unfold between its walls since its completion in 1755, survived a fire and its consequent rebuilding, and now functions as a setting for cultural and private events, is undoubtedly part of Copenhagen's cultural heritage.
From The Wizard of Oz and Casablanca to FRIENDS, Batman, Harry Potter and many more, the talented local string quartet Copenhagen Strings will take fans on a musical journey to relive their favourite soundtracks while celebrating a century of captivating stories in a whole new light with “Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros.”
