Copenhagen, October 17 2023 - With a gastronomic twist that brings together Nordic cuisine with touches from warmer climates, the blindfolded culinary experience 'Dining in the Dark' returns to Copenhagen at Tight Restaurant. On 9 November, Fever invites guests to take part in this initiative that aims to awaken the senses of participants through a blindfolded dinner in an intimate candlelit setting.

Taking the concept of dining out to a new perspective, in ’Dining in the Dark: A Unique Blindfolded Experience at Tight Restaurant’ participants will be able to indulge in the unique blended kitchen of Tight where signature Nordic dishes come together with whispers of southern influences, and surprise their senses through an experience where only taste, smell and touch are allowed to be used.

Studies have shed light on the significance of visual cues during meals. By eliminating the sense of sight, Dining in the Dark aims to activate and amplify taste and smell sensations that often go unnoticed in typical dining settings. Guests are encouraged to embrace the unknown and immerse themselves in the symphony of flavours, textures, and aromas that emerge when sight is no longer relied upon.

When purchasing, participants will have the opportunity to select from three specially curated menus: the vegan menu (green), the fish menu (blue), and the meat menu (red), which include a starter, main course and dessert. Each menu is carefully designed by Tight's chefs to surprise and excite the taste buds, offering a delightful blend of flavours and culinary creativity. Blindfolded, they only have access to a few clues about the dishes they will taste, allowing guests to speculate and anticipate the upcoming tastes, adding an element of suspense and excitement to the experience.

Nestled in Indre By, restaurant Tight is a sanctuary of relaxation and elevated cuisine situated in a stunning historical building dating back to the 1800s. While the blindfolded guests of Dining in the Dark cannot enjoy the cosy, rustic yet elegant interior of the space, they will be able to delight in a carefully selected and exclusive menu. In addition to delivering a memorable dining experience, Tight is committed to sustainability and eco-conscious practices, ensuring that every guest can relish the flavours with a sense of environmental responsibility. Now, Tight takes Dining in the Dark participants on a sustainable and unforgettable culinary voyage through the best of the Nordic kitchen through flavours, textures, scents, colours, and southern inspirations.
