From classic, feel-good Christmas movie soundtracks such as Hans Zimmer’s ‘The Maestro’ to the greatest popular hits such as ‘Jingle Bells‘ and more, this multi-sensory musical experience promises an unforgettable evening
Copenhagen, 27 November 2023 - Along with the shorter and colder days also comes the festive season. Fever’s Candlelight concert series is therefore bringing enchanting shows to Odd Fellow Palæet to get into the holiday spirit. On 9 and 16 December the historical neoclassical building in Indre By will be illuminated by thousands of candles, inviting viewers to fully immerse themselves in themed musical programs dedicated to popular Christmas songs such as ‘Last Christmas’ and our favourite Christmas movies such as ‘Glasgow Love Theme’ from Love Actually.
Played by a talented local string quartet, the show promises to be an unforgettable evening for the holiday season. The preliminary programme features a selection of seasonal hits, from ‘Jingle Bells’ to ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, infused with a collection of soundtracks from our most beloved feel-good holiday films such as Home Alone. This special edition Candlelight is guaranteed to give guests a warm, festive feeling under the soft glow of candlelight to illuminate these dark days.
Candlelight Concerts are an original series of music concerts created by Fever, which aim to democratise access to classical music by allowing people all over the world to enjoy live candlelit performances by local musicians. The concerts are hosted in stunning locations, with the space and performers illuminated by thousands of candles.
Candlelight was initially conceived as a classical music series with concerts featuring works from the greatest composers, such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Chopin. Now, the ever-growing list of programs includes a wide variety of themes and genres, including tributes to contemporary artists like Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran, as well as shows dedicated to K-Pop, movie soundtracks and many more. The multi-sensory experience has also evolved to feature different elements, such as ballet dancers or aerial performers, as well as other genres, such as jazz, soul, opera, flamenco and more.
