London, November, 2022 - Fever, the leading entertainment discovery platform, in partnership with MAHOGANY, has launched ticket sales for a special edition of its world renowned Candlelight concert series, with Celeste at Central Hall Westminster, a unique architectural landmark.
Since launching in 2019, Candlelight concerts have been performed in unique venues worldwide, from churches to libraries to mansions and other historic landmarks that form part of each city’s cultural heritage. Central Hall Westminster, a building steeped in history with a rich, longstanding heritage, will host the singer-songwriter on Saturday 17th December.
This concert series aims to create an accessible and ambient space to enjoy the works of the greatest classical composers such as Vivaldi, Mozart and Beethoven as well as modern compositions such as Bach to the Beatles, Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, Aretha Franklin, and popular movie soundtracks.
Curated and booked by MAHOGANY, a leading light in the discovery, promotion and support of some of the world's most celebrated new talent, this special edition Candlelight, introduces American born, British-Jamaican singer-songwriter Celeste who released her highly anticipated UK No.1 debut album Not Your Muse in January of 2021. Following a remarkable 2020 for the breakthrough artist, Not Your Muse followed the songstress’ double win of BBC Sound 2020 and the BRITs Rising Star Award. Celeste has also been nominated for an Oscar for her song ‘Hear My Voice’ which featured in the Aaron Sorkin film Trial of the Chicago 7.
For this particular concert, Celeste has joined forces with Robert Ames, a key exchange agent between the classical tradition and contemporary music, to recompose Celeste’s best known music, played by the London Contemporary Orchestra, who have established themselves as the UK’s most innovative contemporary ensemble –promoting the best new music and cross-arts collaborations to global audiences.

As a conductor, curator and arranger, Robert Ames has been a key exchange agent between the classical tradition and contemporary music. He works closely with many of the leading figures in new music including Philip Glass, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Bryce Dessner, Mica Levi, Nico Muhly, Richard Reed Parry, Meredith Monk, Terry Riley, Jonny Greenwood, Anna Meredith and Steve Reich. Recent collaborations include Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Nike and Alexander McQueen from the world of Fashion and with musicians who inhabit the pop/ electronic and film music world, including Taylor Swift, Actress, Frank Ocean, Jonsi, Little Simz, Sigur Rós, Alex Somers, The National, Thom Yorke, Justice, Kelly Lee Owens, Celeste, William Basinski, Jed Kurzel, Jamie XX, Olafur Arnalds, Owen Pallett, Darkstar, Radiohead, Rival Consoles and Labrinth. Recent Conducting engagements include performances at The Royal Festival Hall, Barbican Centre, Royal Opera House, De Doelen, The Brooklyn Academy Of Arts, Philharmonie De Paris and The Sydney Opera House, as well as five televised appearances at the BBC Proms in as many years. Robert has worked with many of the world’s leading orchestras including the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, L’Orchestre National De Lyon, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Scottish National Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Moscow New Music Ensemble and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. He was the youngest ever shortlisted nominee for the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Conductor award in 2019, is the co-Founder, Artistic Director and Principle Conductor of the London Contemporary Orchestra and an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music. In 2021 Robert released his debut album”Change Ringing” following up with “CARBS” in 2022 on Berlin based label Modern Recordings, a division of BMG.
London Contemporary Orchestra has established itself as the UK’s most innovative contemporary ensemble –promoting the best new music and cross-arts collaborations to a global audience.Formed in 2008 by co-Artistic Directors Robert ames and Hugh Brunt, the LCO has collaborated with a distinguished array of artists, including Radiohead, Frank Ocean, Sigur Ros, Anna Meredith, Jonny Greenwood, Vivienne Westwood, Moor Mother, Thom Yorke, Mica Levi and Philip Glass.In 2022, the LCO also performed their most inventive undertaking till date -a 24 hour concert at the Barbican. It is renowned for its experimental incubator series called Purcell Sessions: performing new ideas and pieces by up and coming artists across genres at the Southbank Centre.In addition to its busy concert schedule –including sold-out performances at the BBC Proms, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Tate Modern and Barbican,and collaborations with Hildur Guðnadóttir, Actress and Steve Reich –the LCO regularly appears at Abbey Road Studios and AIR Studios, its output encompassing Hollywood and independent feature films, TV series, video games and albums with leading bands and solo artists.
