Newcastle, Wednesday 17th May 2023 - Due to popular demand, Fever’s series of 360º clubbing experiences is set to make its debut in Newcastle. Confirmed to headline the event is none other than Jocelyn Brown, the distinctive, powerhouse vocals behind 1980s smash hits “ Somebody Else’s Guy”, “Keep on Jumpin” and more.

The 360º party series , which aims to bring electronic music lovers a unique way of experiencing house, techno and disco sets, will be held for the first time in Newcastle inside the city’s magnificent medieval Cathedral.

In addition to the RnB queen herself, the party will feature an unmissable lineup of DJs and music producers, including Ollie Stuart back to back with Cramsie, Vanilla Extract and Matty Jones back to back with Francesca Traxx.

Conceptualised by Fever in collaboration with JBM Music, 360º parties are one-of-a-kind events promising a visual spectacle in which there is always a 360º element. Whether it be via a centralised stage or a centralised dance floor, the DJ is visible from all angles, meaning no more neck-craning to get a good view of the action.

360º events are also known for their use of unconventional venues, with previous parties hosted in some truly remarkable spaces, including an original Edwardian era swimming pool, a concorde aircraft hangar, as well as beautiful cathedrals and churches dating back centuries. These jaw-dropping settings, the 360º element, plus incredible projection mapping and state-of-the-art sound systems are the elements that combine to make 360º a highly immersive sensorial experience.

Newcastle’s 360º experience in June will be no exception, held in the city’s historic Cathedral, a striking, Grade I listed building with origins in the 14th century. Partygoers will dance the night away surrounded by the cathedral’s fascinating Medieval architecture, stone effigies and elaborate gothic elements. Killer light shows will illuminate the venue’s superb craftsmanship and the space’s incredible acoustics will be put to optimal use via 360º’s state-of-the-art sound system.

Jocelyn Brown has collaborated with some of the greatest artists, producers and musicians of our time, throughout her five decade-long career, including Incognito, Nuyorican Soul, Masters at Work, Quincy Jones, Luther Vandross, George Benson, Michael Jackson, CHIC and many more. Having made a solid name for herself within multiple musical genres, from RnB to Soul, Disco to Pop and nowadays, House - Brown’s nostalgic anthems continue to fill dance floors today. In this exclusive edition of 360º Jocelyn will perform an extended setlist of her best-loved tracks, including: Keep On Jumpin, Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Enough is Enough, Believe, Something Goin’ On (In Your Soul), and - of course her signature tune - Somebody Else’s Guy.

About Newcastle Cathedral:

Newcastle Cathedral is Grade I listed and dates from the early 14th century. For over 900 years it has been at the centre of the city’s spiritual and civic life as evidenced by its memorials and ledger stones (grave covers) which, together, reveal much of the heritage of Newcastle and the wider region. The Cathedral boasts one of the finest lantern towers in the country, dominating the skyline since the 15th century. Pevsner describes it as “Four flying buttresses leaning against each other and holding up a tall square lantern, battlemented and pinnacled – a rare form of medieval crown in Britain”. The building retains substantial elements of medieval fabric as well as evidence of its development over a number of historical periods, with examples of work by prominent architects including Daniel Garrett, John and Benjamin Green, John Dobson, and George Gilbert Scott.
