Bengaluru's The Bay at Ecoworld welcomes Candlelight® by Live Your City back on March 28, with two open-air concerts that celebrate voices and composers who have shaped the sound of Indian music across generations. Nestled within Ecospace Business Park, the venue's open, contemporary setting takes on a different quality after dark - candlelight filling the space as live music drifts through the evening air.
The first concert, Candlelight Open Air: Tribute to A.R. Rahman, weaves together some of the composer's most enduring works spanning Hindi and Tamil cinema - from the devotional pull of Kun Faya Kun and Chaiyya Chaiyya to the quiet warmth of Tu Hi Re and Jiya Jale, all performed on violin, keyboard and percussion.
Following this is Candlelight Open Air: Tribute to KK, a heartfelt celebration of one of Hindi music's most distinctive voices, moving through Ajab Si, Alvida, Tu Jo Mila, Beete Lamhein and more, songs that have stayed with listeners long after they were first heard. The same ensemble of Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth on violin, Venugopal Venky on keyboards, and Amoghavarsha on percussion brings both programmes to life.
An evening that moves between two deeply loved chapters of Indian music, set under open skies in one of Bengaluru's more distinctive venues.
