NEW YORK, NY (August, 2024) - This September 7th and 8th, New York City will witness the dawn of a new cultural phenomenon as Porte Festival transforms the Brooklyn Navy Yard into a vibrant oasis of commerce, creativity, and community. Founded by visionary entrepreneurs Abiola Doherty and Onanma Okeke, Porte Festival is set to redefine the festival experience, blending retail, food, music, and culture into a single, unforgettable event.
Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of historic World Fairs, Porte Festival will bring together attendees for an immersive celebration of global culture and innovation. "Porte Festival is more than just an event; it's a movement," says Abiola Doherty, co-founder and Managing Partner of Lanor Group. "We're creating a space where commerce is elevated to an art form, where every interaction becomes a moment of discovery."
Onanma Okeke, co-founder and Managing Partner, adds, "Our journey from tech entrepreneurs to festival creators has been driven by a vision to bring people together in new and exciting ways. Porte Festival is the culmination of that dream."
Global Music Showcase: A diverse lineup of artists from South Korea, Brazil, the UK, Nigeria, and NYC, embodying the World Fair theme. (Full lineup to be announced in waves)
