This latest acquisition by Mercury13 represents a strategic expansion into the Spanish market, providing a platform to grow the sport in one of the most competitive leagues in Europe. FC Badalona Women competes in Liga F, Spain's top division, and is one of the few independent women's clubs in the country, providing a unique platform for growth at a pivotal moment of transformation and expansion.

The club´s nickname Ona, meaning ¨wave¨ in Catalan, reflects a new wave of momentum for a team redefining itself at all levels. The club has been playing temporarily in Palamós while its stadium undergoes renovations, including converting the pitch to natural grass, meeting top-tier competition standards. The new stadium is scheduled to open in the summer of 2026, further paving the path for long-term expansion and improved fan experience.
