Dining in the Dark: A Premium Blindfolded Dining Experience arrives in Dubai for Valentine’s Day

Dubai, UAE - Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Dining in the Dark, the one-of-a-kind gastronomical experience, lands in Dubai this month, following its international success. This experience, which will be hosted at VAGA in The Wharf on Bluewaters Island, is the perfect date night idea for all to enjoy. Starting every Tuesday throughout February, at 7:00 PM and 9:15 PM, couples can indulge in a mouthwatering three-course gourmet meal served in complete darkness while being blindfolded.

Three colours categorise the secret sensorial menu; green represents vegetarian options. Blue signifies seafood dishes and red for meat selection. Depending on the ticket choice, diners also enjoy one alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. 

Psychologists have advocated this gastronomical concept for many years. Studies show that eighty per cent of people eat with their eyes, and with this sense eliminated, the theory is that the other senses, such as taste and smell, take over and elevate your meal to a new level. Now when donning a blindfold in a darkened, candlelit room, you'll realise that focusing on taste and smell alone can be a truly enlightening experience - provided you're not afraid of the dark.
