Candlelight Celebrates French Icons in a Unique Concert at the prestigious Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa

For the second year in a row, Candlelight and Sofitel illuminate select flagship locations with the enchanting glow of thousands of candles 

Dubai, UAE — Candlelight®, the international series of live concerts produced by Fever, kicks off this year's program with a special performance dedicated to French music legends. Set in the picturesque Sofitel Dubai The Palm on Saturday, January 11, 2025, guests will embark on an unforgettable musical journey under the warm candlelight glow, immersed in the sounds of legendary French music from Edith Piaf to Aya Nakamura.

The renowned Gulf String Quartet will perform a curated selection of iconic pieces, including La Vie en Rose, Bonnie & Clyde, Ella, elle l'a, La Bohème, and more, as part of a captivating program blending timeless French classics with modern hits.

The event features two sessions, at 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM, with a unique opportunity to enhance the experience with a glass of Pommery Champagne upon arrival. After the concert, guests can indulge in a gourmet dinner for an additional charge, featuring a menu crafted around exquisite food and champagne pairings. Non-alcoholic beverages and Vegetarian options are also available. 

This event is part of a series hosted at other stunning 5-star Sofitel hotels, including those in Marseille, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. The partnership between Candlelight and Sofitel celebrates the French heritage of the flagship hotels and their 'Candle Rituals'—a tradition inspired by Paris, the "City of Lights." This ritual pays homage to Paris’s pioneering role in night-time illumination during the 1860s when over 56,000 gas lamps lit up its streets for the first time.
