Melbourne | 24 October 2024 - SENSAS, the internationally-acclaimed sensory adventure experience, designed to challenge and explore the hidden potential of the five senses, is set to make its Australian debut on Friday 6 December in Melbourne.
The waitlist for tickets is now LIVE.
SENSAS invites participants to compete in teams of 4-60 people, navigating a series of fun and crazy sensory-based challenges throughout six themed rooms where they will share and embrace the full gamut of human emotions.
Founded in 2015 by urban entertainment innovators Silvana Popovic and Grégory Lafon in Marseille, France, SENSAS has since expanded to several locations including Spain, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and the UK.
Having received Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award earlier this year, SENSAS has welcomed more than one million visitors globally with a Google rating of 4.9 stars. Now, the team is joining forces with leading global live-entertainment discovery platform, Fever, to bring this unique immersive experience down-under.
SENSAS participants are set to experience a range of “XXL” emotions during their session. From heightened primal fear to uncontrollable, side-bending laughter; it’s that roller coaster of feelings that arise when the deprivation of a sense is combined with pure imagination.
Featuring six themed rooms - many of which are in complete darkness - the SENSAS experience will throw participants into the likes of the Smell Lab, where participants are challenged to recognise scents using only their sense of smell and memory; the ‘Sight Lab’, where groups must dodge laser beams in a pitch black room, twisting and leaping like contortionists; and the ‘Anti-Gravity Room’, a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity that shakes up sensory references by placing players in a distorted setting for the ultimate ‘grammable moment.
As players smell, see, touch, listen and even taste their way through the SENSAS experience, the extraordinary human ability to adapt will kick into gear. Guided by their ‘Master of Senses’, participants will receive hints and clues to assist with completing the challenges along the way.
Not only does SENSAS encourage connection and creativity between players, it also offers an accessible environment with the core mission to raise disability awareness via the carefully designed sensory-deprivation challenges. What’s more, participants will have the chance to contribute to a charity as their game-winning ‘charms’ are transformed into real donations at the end of their session. Previous organisations supported by SENSAS include Disability Sports Coach (London), Notre Dame de Joye - Le foyer de Miryam (Paris), and Aura Fundación (Barcelona).
Located at 6 Garden Street, South Yarra, SENSAS is set to become Melbourne’s hottest new group experience, perfect for team building activities, Christmas parties, a family day out, or a catch up with friends.
SENSAS is suitable for participants aged 7+ years and tickets will be available for purchase from 29 October 2024. Those who sign up to the waitlist will receive exclusive pre-sale access 24 hours before public sales. For further information, head to sensas-experience.com/melbourne.
