Sydney | 25 August, 2025 – After three years, leading global entertainment discovery platform Fever is bringing back a taste of Italy to Australia’s doorstep with the launch of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition at Sydney’s Fever Pavilion, opening 29 August 2025.
Following its Australian debut in Adelaide in 2022 and an international tour spanning from Paris to San Francisco, Sydneysiders are next in line to witness a breathtaking, up-close encounter with one of history’s most iconic artistic achievements - brought to life like never before.
The waitlist for Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition is now open HERE.
This immersive showcase will transform Sydney into a gateway to Renaissance Rome, where visitors will step into an entirely new way of experiencing Michelangelo’s masterpiece - no scaffolding, no crowding, and no passport required. The exhibition features 34 of Michelangelo’s ceiling frescoes from the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, recreated in true-to-size, jaw-dropping scale using a specially developed printing technique that mirrors the texture, colour, and detail of the original works.
Seen at eye level, works like The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment reveal nuances often missed - from Michelangelo’s revolutionary use of human anatomy to his dramatic, almost sculptural use of light and shadow. Michelangelo’s groundbreaking technique has reshaped the course of Western art and that legacy is now accessible in an entirely new format through this Fever original exhibition - one that is immersive, educational, and inspiring.
Accompanied by informative signage and optional audio guides, visitors can take in each piece at their own pace, capturing the magnitude of the work without the traditional Vatican crowds. Whether guests are first-time explorers or seasoned art lovers, this exhibition offers a fresh and intimate perspective on a cultural milestone that continues to influence art, fashion, film, and design more than 500 years later.
Phil Mallet, Fever Originals Manager, said: “Australians love experiencing and learning about different cultures and historical periods, as we first saw with the success of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition in Adelaide, as well as the virtual reality expeditions we currently have in Sydney. We’re incredibly excited to now bring this experience to Sydney where we have seen a huge appetite for immersive, educational entertainment.”
Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition opens 29 August 2025 at Fever Pavilion, Sydney Showgrounds. To sign up for the waitlist, visit the Fever app or website.
