Portland residents can experience a breathtaking, up-close perspective of Michelangelo’s renowned ceiling frescoes at Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition
Portland, July 13 - For those who can’t make it overseas to Vatican City, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition is coming to them for the summer. From July onwards, Portland’s Pioneer Place transforms into a spectacular exhibition of Michelangelo’s most famous work where guests can learn all there is about this artistic masterpiece. Tickets are on sale now.
Fever, the leading entertainment discovery platform, in collaboration with LA-based SEE Global Entertainment, is bringing this experience to Portland, which previously traveled to various cities across the globe such as Chicago, Charleston, Berlin, Vancouver, and Madrid. The exhibition features 34 of the Vatican’s most sought-after frescoes in an up-close, life-size, and never-before-seen perspective. One of the most stunning recreations in the collection is The Last Judgment as the grand finale.
The creators replicated the ceiling paintings from Sistine Chapel with special expertise and care in a truly awe-inspiring way through high definition images that were brought to life using a special printing technique that emulates the look and feel of the original paintings. Every brushstroke, every detail, and every single color can be admired at guests’ own pace. Unlike the real Sistine Chapel, the exhibition allows for this incredible experience to be photographed, so guests can capture this breathtaking perspective.
If the timeless, iconic masterpieces alone aren’t enough; Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition provides guests with informative signage, and audio guides are available to rent for an even more in-depth experience (guests are recommended to bring their own headphones).
This exhibit is suitable for all audiences and relies on a spacious area where Michelangelo’s masterpieces stretch floor-to-ceiling and closer than ever. Tickets start at $24.20 for adults and $19.40 for children.
Tickets: Available on Fever’s marketplace.

This unique exhibition recreates one of the world’s greatest artistic achievements, Michelangelo’s renowned ceiling frescoes from the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, reproduced photographically and artfully displayed in their original size and displayed as 34 reproductions on 16-foot panels. This innovative interpretation of the timeless masterpieces can be viewed up close, including The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment, in its original size – a towering 41 feet high. Making its debut in the United States at the State Fair of Texas, the exhibition was voted in the top three attractions at the iconic yearly event. It has previously made stops in Montreal, Canada, and Vienna, Austria. For more information, visit www.chapelsistine.com.
