Now you can, at Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. Opening February 8th, 2024, at the Exhibition Hub Art Center Raleigh, this captivating exhibition uses more than 80 highly accurate animatronic dinosaur models, immersive projection technology, virtual reality, theatrical lighting, elaborate scenery, and hands-on activities to create an unforgettable journey back to the Reign of the Dinosaurs that will thrill all ages.
Following on from its success in Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington DC, Seoul, Melbourne, and Brussels, this global phenomenon will now bring all the excitement of the Mesozoic era to Raleigh. Highly educational, immersive, and interactive, Dinos Alive showcases some of the largest dinosaurs to ever walk the planet, including the iconic Tyrannosaurus rex, Apatosaurus, and the fierce Spinosaurus. These are only a few of the scores of dinosaurs that visitors will discover in this unparalleled dinosaur experience, which was named a CNN Must See Attraction. Visitors can mix it up with the dinosaurs as well, coloring them every shade of the rainbow, racing a Velociraptor to see who’s fastest, engaging in multiple selfie opportunities, and even riding a dinosaur.
“Raleigh was home to many dinosaurs during the Mesozoic era, which makes us very proud to be bringing them back in such a realistic way,” said John Zaller, Executive Producer for Exhibition Hub. “Carolinians have come out en masse to enjoy our previous experiences, and we have designed Dinos Alive to continue to deliver those exceptional immersive and educational experiences that our guests have come to expect.” Exhibition Hub and Fever have previously presented the blockbuster Van Gogh and Art of the Brick experiences in Raleigh with record-breaking success.
Along with its vast installation of animatronic dinosaurs that chronicle all three periods in the Mesozoic era, Dinos Alive boasts a 5,000-square-foot virtual aquarium where guests can dive into the deep sea and interact with Jurassic sea giants in their natural habitat. The 75-minute experience, housed in a 35,000 square-foot venue conveniently located at Pleasant Valley Promenade, also offers educators an opportunity to enrich their classes through K-12 educational materials all aligned to state standards.
Dinos Alive is designed to cater to visitors of all ages. Children can enjoy an interactive space where they play the role of a paleontologist and engage with iconic dinosaurs.
