Uncover Earth’s 3.5 Billion-Year History with the Launch of Life Chronicles in Sydney

Sydney | January 15, 2025 – From the creators of the captivating virtual reality experience Horizon of Khufu, which launched at Sydney’s Fever Pavilion in September 2024, Excurio, leaders in cultural VR entertainment, and global live-entertainment discovery platform Fever, are bringing another acclaimed immersive expedition masterpiece to Sydney: Life Chronicles. Opened in February 2025, this state-of-the-art experience takes audiences on an extraordinary journey through 3.5 billion years of Earth’s history, showcasing the major evolutionary milestones that have shaped the world as we know it today.

Tickets are on sale now.

Following Life Chronicles' successful run at the National Museum of Natural History in France, then in London, Atlanta and soon Montreal, the arrival into Sydney builds on the momentum of Excurio’s Australian premiere last September with Horizon of Khufu: Journey Into Ancient Egypt, which has attracted over 40,000 visitors and achieved a 4.8 out of 5 star rating from Sydneysiders. Now, the two state-of-the-art immersive expeditions in virtual reality will run side-by-side at Fever Pavilion.

Life Chronicles takes participants on a journey through Earth's most iconic paleo-landscapes, spanning from the Archean period 3.5 billion years ago to the present day with 162 recreated plant and animal species to encounter. Along the way, guests will witness pivotal moments in Earth's evolutionary story:

the rise of animal life during the Cambrian explosion (520 million years ago), the lush forests of the Carboniferous period (300 million years ago), the reign of the mighty dinosaurs in the Cretaceous period (67 million years ago), the emergence of humans (100,000 to 60,000 years ago), and much more.

Virtually guiding this extraordinary journey is Charlie, a post-doctoral researcher specializing in quantum physics and the evolution of species. Charlie serves as an expert companion, leading participants through breathtaking paleo-landscapes while providing in-depth historical insights and fascinating details about the creatures and environments encountered. Each paleo-landscape is meticulously crafted with scientific accuracy, backed by the expertise of paleontologists, paleobotanists, evolutionary biologists, and scientists from the prestigious National Museum of Natural History in France.
